Yoga Class at Orchestra Hall

About This Event

Sun salutations meet live music in our Yoga at Orchestra Hall series! Practice yoga with instructor Jaina Portwood in the serenity of the Orchestra Hall lobby while Minnesota Orchestra Principal Harp Kathy Kienzle plays musical selections that inspire and center body and soul. Portwood, co-owner and founder of Radiant Life Yoga, will facilitate this experience for beginners and experienced yogis alike.

Fun Facts:

  • Each hour-long class in the series is open to all ages 15 and up. We encourage you to join us whether you are new to yoga or looking to transform your practice!
  • Jaina Portwood, E-RYT 500, NCMT 1000, has been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching since 2002. She is the director and founder of Pure Lux Yoga, as well as the co-owner and founder of Radiant Life Yoga, an Uptown Minneapolis yoga school with daily classes, workshops, and a second location Northside, where she offers donation-based yoga classes to the community.
  • Jaina's classes are a blend of relaxation and strengthening, with a beginner in mind.
  • Please bring your own mat and water bottle, as well as any props (towels, blocks, etc.) you would like to use for the class.
  • Purchase the 3-session Yoga Package and receive a pair of complimentary tickets to the "Music and the Mind" concert on February 7.
  • Collect free samples from several local vendors tabling in the Orchestra Hall lobby. Samples will include herbal formulas from WishGarden Herbs, an independent, family-run business that has been providing natural herbal remedies to communities since 1979.
