Fantasy Camp 2019: July 8-11
A major-league musical experience with the Minnesota Orchestra
What Is Fantasy Camp?
Major League Baseball and National Football League teams have one, so why shouldn’t we? The Minnesota Orchestra Fantasy Camp provides the opportunity for talented amateur musicians in the community to live the Minnesota Orchestra experience—from backstage to onstage.
Started in 2011, this camp gives attendees the opportunity to perform with Minnesota Orchestra musicians, and experience first-hand how concerts go from idea to reality.
Who Can Apply?
Minnesota Orchestra Fantasy Camp is a fun, friendly and non-competitive experience. Adults (18+) who are proficient players of an orchestral instrument can participate.
No audition is necessary. Up to 55 applicants will be selected based upon essay submissions, musical training/background, current involvement in musical activities, and instrumentation needed for the chosen repertoire, Brahms' Symphony No. 2 (mvt IV).
