Jeff Tyzik leads the Minnesota Orchestra in one-night-only performance
Hundreds of rare photos are displayed on a large screen while the Orchestra performs music by The Beatles
On Saturday, June 22, at Orchestra Hall, Grammy Award-winner Jeff Tyzik conducts the Minnesota Orchestra in Revolution: The Music of The Beatles – A Symphonic Experience. The program includes symphonic arrangements of the Beatles’ most influential songs, accompanied by rare images and video from the historic, London-based The Beatles Book Archives and official fan magazine The Beatles Book Monthly. This performance also features six guest vocalists and instrumentalists and includes more than two dozen hits such as “Ticket to Ride,” “Get Back,” “Hey Jude,” “Here Comes the Sun” and “Let it Be.”
The concert is performed at the Orchestra’s home venue of Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday, June 22, at 8 p.m., with ticket prices ranging from $50 to $105. Jeff Tyzik is one of America’s most innovative and sought-after pops conductors. He last appeared with the Minnesota Orchestra in July 2017 as part of Doc Severinsen’s 90th birthday celebration. This is the sixth season that he has held The Dot and Paul Mason Principal Pops Conductor’s Podium at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He also serves as principal pops conductor of the Detroit Symphony, Oregon Symphony and Florida Orchestra. This season, he will celebrate his 25th season as principal pops conductor of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. As a guest conductor, Tyzik has appeared with the Boston Pops, Cincinnati Pops, Milwaukee Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Toronto Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
