Chaired by Betsy Frost and Charlie Anderson, the 2019 Symphony Ball celebrates the magic of the night sky
The Minnesota Orchestra presents its annual premier gala on June 8, 2019, the 63rd annual Symphony Ball, Northern Lights: A Night of Brilliance with the Minnesota Orchestra, inspired by the magic of the night sky. In the event’s centerpiece, Music Director Osmo Vänskä will conduct the Orchestra in a performance of music that celebrates the ethereal energy, exquisite light and stunning colors of the aurora borealis. The Orchestra will be joined by special guest artist Chastity Brown, an acclaimed singer-songwriter who will perform two pieces with the Orchestra, followed by a solo set after the Orchestra performance concludes.
Tickets starting at $450 are now available for the full evening, which includes a seated dinner with Orchestra musicians and an auction. $125 Partier tickets are also available for those who would like to arrive after the dinner hour. Partier tickets include a pre-concert cocktail hour with music performed by the MOB (Minnesota Orchestra Band), access to the Minnesota Orchestra concert and Chastity Brown’s performance, the opportunity to bid in a silent auction, plus a post-concert party, desserts, dancing and entertainment by dance band Synergy. The event’s activities conclude at 1:00 a.m.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Orchestra Hall and the adjoining Hilton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. For more information and ticket options, see event details at the end of this press release or visit minnesotaorchestra.org/symphonyball.
Symphony Ball, which is the Orchestra’s most significant annual fundraising event, is Chaired this year by Betsy Frost and Charlie Anderson, with Marilyn Carlson Nelson serving as Honorary Chair. Since 1956, the annual Symphony Ball has raised millions of dollars in support of the Minnesota Orchestra, its musicians and education programs. This year’s event will continue to raise critical funds to support the artistic excellence and award-winning education and community engagement programs of the Orchestra.
