Havana, Cuba:

  • International tour, May 13-17, 2015;
  • Two capacity performances at Havana’s Teatro Nacional, led by Osmo Vänskä. The Minnesota Orchestra made history by opening its second performance with the Cuban National Anthem and The Star Spangled Banner;
  • Featuring engagement between Orchestra musicians and Cuban students at the Escuela Nacional de Música, Instituto Superior de Arte and Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil Amadeo Roldán.

Bemidji, Minnesota:     

  • Common Chords residency featuring 30 chamber music performances, September 16-20, 2014;
  • Three full-Orchestra performances, led respectively by Sarah Hicks and Osmo Vänskä.
